Want to stay down longer? Want shorter dive breaks? Want more dives in the day? Enriched Air Nitrox, Nitrox for short, provides these and more. Your body stores the nitrogen we breathe while diving but can only store so much. By reducing the amount of nitrogen we take in per breath we can extend our dive time, air supply permitting. We can also reduce our surface intervals as we won’t have as much nitrogen to off-gas. We do need to look out for a couple of downsides though and you
will learn about these during your course. You will also be shown how to analyze your gas and determine its limits. Also how to set a computer for your gas mix so it knows what you can do safely with regards to depth and dive time.
